Back in November, I grabbed myself a double pack of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. I figured I would like it, but I didn’t think I’d have gotten into it as much as I did. For the other games, except for Arceus, I never got really pulled in. They were fun distractions, but I never had any problem putting them down and going off to do other things. Arceus was my first true love for any Pokémon game. An open world, a crafting system, and a lot of fun pokémon to collect. But this post isn’t about Arceus. Scarlet sucked me in after a few hours of playing. I love Koraidon and the whole of the story. While its only been about six months since its release, I still find myself getting on the game at least once a week for shiny hunting, raiding, or just goofing around.
Over all I’ve gotten almost all the special. I missed a special Zoroark when my work got a bit crazy, but that is another story. I’m excitedly anticipating the release of the updated Pokémon Home so I can get an Articuno in there as well as seeing what will happen with Alpha’s moved in from Arceus. This game has given me an appreciation for a lot more pokémon species I originally didn’t think twice about. The DLC should be fun as well. I’ve not pre-ordered it yet, its still months away from being released, but I fully intend to play it as soon as its released.
In the meantime, however, for anyone else still playing Scarlet and Violet, please look me up. I’d love to make some new game friends and adventure, raid, and trade with new people.
